Hi! My name is Demi Lowry! I am originally from Libertyville, Illinois 40 miles north of Chicago. In those days, Libertyville was country and horses. I started riding when I was twelve years old.

I attended all Catholic schools from grade school through college. In 1970 I graduated from Quincy University and moved to Colorado.

​

I was a high school physical education teacher for eight years and coached track. In 1980 I received my Masters in Leisure Counseling from the University of Colorado Boulder.

​

When I left teaching, I opened a pet-sitting service and was the first in the Boulder Colorado area to do so.

​

As time went on I met my husband, Mike Lowry, and had two boys. We all worked in the pet business, going to people's homes as well as boarding them in our house in Boulder. The business outgrew our Boulder home, so we moved to Erie, Colorado, where we started A-Lov-in-Touch Pet Chalet. We had enough space to buy two horses.. The first time I've owned my own. I worked with this business for twenty years.

 

After 45 years in Colorado,I was ready for a change, so I moved to Florida, where I was blessed to find a 5 acre horse property in Englewood.

 

In 2018, I opened my small doggy dorm Amazing Tails Dog Daycare and Boarding!

It's been 7 years since Amazing Tails began.
